तान महर्षिगणान सर्वाञ शिरॊभिर अभिवाद्य च उपॊपविविशुः सर्वे कौरव्याः सपुरॊहिताः ।। १-११७-१६ ।।

'The Kauravas, accompanied by their priest, respectfully greeted the sages by bowing their heads and then took their seats before them.' ।। 1-117-16 ।।

tAna maharSigaNAna sarvAJa ziròbhira abhivAdya ca upòpavivizuH sarve kauravyAH sapuròhitAH || 1-117-16 ||

'Then Bhishma, calming that vast assembly, respectfully worshipped those ascetics by offering them water to wash their feet and the customary Arghya. After this, he spoke to them about sovereignty and the kingdom.' ।। 1-117-18 ।।
