तद इदं कर्मभिः पापैः पूर्वदेहेषु संचितम दुःखं माम अनुसंप्राप्तं राजंस तवद विप्रयॊगजम ॥ १-११२-२६ ॥
'O king, a wretched woman who lives even for a moment separated from her lord dwells in sorrow and suffers the pangs of hell right here. It seems that in a past life, I caused the separation of some loving couple, for which sinful act I am now enduring this torment of being separated from you.' ॥ 1-112-26 ॥

tada idaM karmabhiH pApaiH pUrvadeheSu saMcitama duHkhaM mAma anusaMprAptaM rAjaMsa tavada viprayògajama ॥ 1-112-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअद्य परभृत्य अहं राजन कुश परस्तरशायिनी भविष्याम्य असुखाविष्टा तवद्दर्शनपरायणा ॥ १-११२-२७ ॥
'O king, from this day forth, I shall lie on a bed of kusha grass, forsaking all luxuries, eagerly awaiting the sight of you once more.' ॥ 1-112-27 ॥

adya parabhRtya ahaM rAjana kuza parastarazAyinI bhaviSyAmya asukhAviSTA tavaddarzanaparAyaNA ॥ 1-112-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदर्शयस्व नरव्याघ्र साधु माम असुखान्विताम दीनाम अनाथां कृपणां विलपन्तीं नरेश्वर ॥ १-११२-२८ ॥
'O tiger among men, reveal yourself to me. O king, O lord, command once again your wretched and bitterly weeping wife submerged in sorrow.' ॥ 1-112-28 ॥

darzayasva naravyAghra sAdhu mAma asukhAnvitAma dInAma anAthAM kRpaNAM vilapantIM narezvara ॥ 1-112-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं बहुविधं तस्यां विलपन्त्यां पुनः पुनः तं शवं संपरिष्वज्य वाक किलान्तर्हिताब्रवीत ॥ १-११२-२९ ॥
'Kunti continued, 'So it was, O Pandu, that the graceful Bhadra mourned the loss of her husband. With a heart full of anguish, she embraced the lifeless body tightly in her arms as she wept.' ॥ 1-112-29 ॥

evaM bahuvidhaM tasyAM vilapantyAM punaH punaH taM zavaM saMpariSvajya vAka kilAntarhitAbravIta ॥ 1-112-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्तिष्ठ भद्रे गच्छ तवं ददानीह वरं तव जनयिष्याम्य अपत्यानि तवय्य अहं चारुहासिनि ॥ १-११२-३० ॥
An ethereal voice then spoke to her, saying, "Arise, O Bhadra, and depart from this place. O bearer of sweet smiles, I grant you this boon. I will father children upon you."' ॥ 1-112-30 ॥

uttiSTha bhadre gaccha tavaM dadAnIha varaM tava janayiSyAmya apatyAni tavayya ahaM cAruhAsini ॥ 1-112-30 ॥
