सहजं कवचं बिभ्रत कुण्डलॊद्द्यॊतिताननः अजायत सुतः कर्णः सर्वलॊकेषु विश्रुतः ।। १-१०४-११ ।।

sanskrit

'And of this connection, there was immediately born a son known all over the world as Karna accounted with natural armor and with face brightened by ear-rings.' ।। 1-104-11 ।।

Weighing her options carefully, she decided that concealing her indiscretion was paramount, primarily due to the fear of familial repercussions. Thus, with a heavy heart, she placed her robust and healthy child into a basket and released it onto the river, entrusting its fate to the waters.' ।। 1-104-13 ।।

'And both of them, embracing the child as their own, gave him a name, saying, "As he is born with natural armor ('Kavacha') and earrings ('Kundala'), which are symbols of wealth and prosperity ('Vasus'), let his name be 'Vasusena'." This name signified his connection with divine wealth and attributes, even though his upbringing would be in the humble surroundings of a charioteer's home.' ।। 1-104-15 ।।
