शूलाग्रे तप्यमानेन तपस तेन महात्मना संतापं परमं जग्मुर मुनयॊ ऽथ परंतप ॥ १-१०१-१४ ॥

sanskrit

'And they came there in the night in the forms of birds, and beholding him engaged in ascetic meditation though fixed on that stake, became plunged into grief.' ॥ 1-101-14 ॥

english translation

zUlAgre tapyamAnena tapasa tena mahAtmanA saMtApaM paramaM jagmura munayò 'tha paraMtapa ॥ 1-101-14 ॥
