विविधं संहिता जञानं दीपयन्ति मनीषिणः वयाख्यातुं कुशलाः के चिद गरन्थं धारयितुं परे ।। १-१-५१।।

'Scholars showcase their diverse understanding of the principles by offering commentary on the composition. Some excel in skillfully explicating its intricacies, while others demonstrate proficiency in retaining and recalling its contents.' ।। 1-1-51 ।।

'The knowledgeable son of Parashara, a virtuous sage steadfast in vows, a self-disciplined seeker of truth, dutifully appointed by his mother, and possessing wisdom, the son of the Ganges.' ।। 1-1-53 ।।
