तेषु जातेषु वृद्धेषु गतेषु परमां गतिम अब्रवीद भारतं लॊके मानुषे ऽसमिन महान ऋषिः ।। १-१-५६।।

sanskrit

'It was not till after they were born, grown up, and departed on the supreme journey, that the great Rishi Vyasa published the Bharata in this region of mankind.' ।। 1-1-56 ।।

english translation

teSu jAteSu vRddheSu gateSu paramAM gatima abravIda bhArataM lòke mAnuSe 'samina mahAna RSiH || 1-1-56||
