विविधं संहिता जञानं दीपयन्ति मनीषिणः वयाख्यातुं कुशलाः के चिद गरन्थं धारयितुं परे ।। १-१-५१।।

'Scholars showcase their diverse understanding of the principles by offering commentary on the composition. Some excel in skillfully explicating its intricacies, while others demonstrate proficiency in retaining and recalling its contents.' ।। 1-1-51 ।।

english translation

vividhaM saMhitA jaJAnaM dIpayanti manISiNaH vayAkhyAtuM kuzalAH ke cida garanthaM dhArayituM pare || 1-1-51||
