कार्ष्णं वेदम इमं विद्वाञ शरावयित्वार्थम अश्नुते भरूण हत्या कृतं चापि पापं जह्यान न संशयः ॥ १-१-२०५ ॥
'A learned person, by reciting this Veda (knowledge) known as the Bhagavad Gita, comprehends its meaning and gains the intended benefits. Surely, even the sin of killing one's relatives will be dispelled without a doubt.'॥ 1-1-205 ॥
