य इमं शुचिर अध्यायं पठेत पर्वणि पर्वणि अधीतं भारतं तेन कृत्स्नं सयाद इति मे मतिः ॥ १-१-२०६ ॥
'One who reads this pure chapter on each occasion during the course of events and has studied the entire Mahabharata, in my opinion, becomes completely accomplished.'॥ 1-1-206 ॥
