यदाश्रौषं दवारकायां सुभद्रां; परसह्यॊढां माधवीम अर्जुनेन इन्द्रप्रस्थं वृष्णिवीरौ च यातौ; तदा नाशंसे विजयाय संजय ॥ १-१-१०३ ॥
'When I heard that Subhadra of the race of Madhu had, after forcible abducted & married by Arjuna in the city of Dwaraka, and that the two heroes of the race of Vrishni (Krishna and Balarama the brothers of Subhadra) without resenting it had entered Indraprastha as friends, then, O Sanjaya, I had no hope of success.' ॥ 1-1-103 ॥
