एवम उक्तस तया सम्यग बृहत तेजा बृहस्पतिः कामात्मानं तदात्मानं न शशाक नियच्छितुम ॥ १-९८-११ ॥
'Thus addressed by her, Vrihaspati, though possessed of great wisdom, succeeded not in suppressing his desire.' ॥ 1-98-11 ॥
english translation
evama uktasa tayA samyaga bRhata tejA bRhaspatiH kAmAtmAnaM tadAtmAnaM na zazAka niyacchituma ॥ 1-98-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसंबभूव ततः कामी तया सार्धम अकामया उत्सृजन्तं तु तं रेतः स गर्भस्थॊ ऽभयभाषत ॥ १-९८-१२ ॥
'Then, overcome by desire, and with her who was unwilling, he united. As he released his seed, the child within the womb spoke.' ॥ 1-98-12 ॥
english translation
saMbabhUva tataH kAmI tayA sArdhama akAmayA utsRjantaM tu taM retaH sa garbhasthò 'bhayabhASata ॥ 1-98-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभॊस तात कन्यस वदे दवयॊर नास्त्य अत्र संभवः अमॊघशुक्रश च भवान पूर्वं चाहम इहागतः ॥ १-९८-१३ ॥
'He said, "O father, desist from your endeavor. There is no room here for two."' ॥ 1-98-13 ॥
english translation
bhòsa tAta kanyasa vade davayòra nAstya atra saMbhavaH amòghazukraza ca bhavAna pUrvaM cAhama ihAgataH ॥ 1-98-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशशाप तं ततः करुद्ध एवम उक्तॊ बृहस्पतिः उतथ्य पुत्रं गर्भस्थं निर्भर्त्स्य भगवान ऋषिः ॥ १-९८-१४ ॥
'O illustrious one, the space is limited. I have occupied it first. Your seed cannot be wasted. It is not appropriate for you to trouble me." Despite these words from the child in the womb, Vrihaspati did not heed them.' ॥ 1-98-14 ॥
english translation
zazApa taM tataH karuddha evama uktò bRhaspatiH utathya putraM garbhasthaM nirbhartsya bhagavAna RSiH ॥ 1-98-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयस्मात तवम ईदृशे काले सर्वभूतेप्सिते सति एवम आत्थ वचस तस्मात तमॊ दीर्घं परवेक्ष्यसि ॥ १-९८-१५ ॥
'He sought the embraces of Mamata, who had the most beautiful eyes. However, the sage within the womb, foreseeing the moment when the vital fluid was about to be released, blocked the path with his feet to prevent the semen from entering.' ॥ 1-98-15 ॥

yasmAta tavama IdRze kAle sarvabhUtepsite sati evama Attha vacasa tasmAta tamò dIrghaM paravekSyasi ॥ 1-98-15 ॥
