परेतकार्याणि सर्वाणि तस्य सम्यग अकारयत राज्ञॊ विचित्रवीर्यस्य सत्यवत्या मते सथितः ऋत्विग्भिः सहितॊ भीष्मः सर्वैश च कुरुपुंगवैः ॥ १-९६-५९ ॥

'Then, the virtuous Bhishma, engulfed in sorrow and worry, consulted with Satyavati and ensured that learned priests and members of the Kuru dynasty meticulously conducted the funeral ceremonies of the departed.' ॥ 1-96-59 ॥

english translation

paretakAryANi sarvANi tasya samyaga akArayata rAjJò vicitravIryasya satyavatyA mate sathitaH RtvigbhiH sahitò bhISmaH sarvaiza ca kurupuMgavaiH ॥ 1-96-59 ॥
