[व] ततः सत्यवती दीना कृपणा पुत्रगृद्धिनी पुत्रस्य कृत्वा कार्याणि सनुषाभ्यां सह भारत ।। १-९७-१ ।।

sanskrit

'Vaisampayana said, 'The unfortunate Satyavati then became plunged in grief on account of her son. And after performing with her daughters-in-law the funeral rites of the deceased, consoled, as best she could, her weeping daughters-in-law and Bhishma, that foremost of all wielders of weapons.' ।। 1-97-1 ।।

english translation

[va] tataH satyavatI dInA kRpaNA putragRddhinI putrasya kRtvA kAryANi sanuSAbhyAM saha bhArata || 1-97-1 ||
