बरह्म पर्यचरत कषत्रं विशः कषत्रम अनुव्रताः बरह्मक्षत्रानुरक्ताश च शूद्राः पर्यचरन विशः ।। १-९४-९ ।।

sanskrit

'Under the rule of Shantanu and other monarchs like him, the religious virtues of all social orders flourished significantly. The Kshatriyas served the Brahmins; the Vaishyas served the Kshatriyas, and the Shudras, revering both the Brahmins and the Kshatriyas, served the Vaishyas.' ।। 1-94-9 ।।
