एतावान अत्र दॊषॊ हि नान्यः कश चन पार्थिव एतज जानीहि भद्रं ते दानादाने परंतप ॥ १-९४-७६ ॥
'Blessings upon you! This concludes my stance on the matter concerning Satyavati's marriage.' ॥ 1-94-76 ॥
english translation
etAvAna atra dòSò hi nAnyaH kaza cana pArthiva etaja jAnIhi bhadraM te dAnAdAne paraMtapa ॥ 1-94-76 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम उक्तस तु गाङ्गेयस तद युक्तं परत्यभाषत शृण्वतां भूमिपालानां पितुर अर्थाय भारत ॥ १-९४-७७ ॥
'Having been thus addressed, the son of Ganga replied fittingly, speaking for the benefit of the earth's rulers and his father's purpose.' ॥ 1-94-77 ॥
english translation
evama uktasa tu gAGgeyasa tada yuktaM paratyabhASata zRNvatAM bhUmipAlAnAM pitura arthAya bhArata ॥ 1-94-77 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइदं मे मतम आदत्स्व सत्यं सत्यवतां वर नैव जातॊ न वाजात ईदृशं वक्तुम उत्सहेत ॥ १-९४-७८ ॥
'O foremost of truthful men, listen to the vow I utter! The man has not been or will not be born, who will have the courage to take such a vow!' ॥ 1-94-78 ॥

idaM me matama Adatsva satyaM satyavatAM vara naiva jAtò na vAjAta IdRzaM vaktuma utsaheta ॥ 1-94-78 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम एतत करिष्यामि यथा तवम अनुभाषसे यॊ ऽसयां जनिष्यते पुत्रः स नॊ राजा भविष्यति ॥ १-९४-७९ ॥
'I will do exactly as you have suggested. The son who will be born to her will become our king.' ॥ 1-94-79 ॥
english translation
evama etata kariSyAmi yathA tavama anubhASase yò 'sayAM janiSyate putraH sa nò rAjA bhaviSyati ॥ 1-94-79 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्य उक्तः पुनर एवाथ तं दाशः परत्यभाषत चिकीर्षुर दुष्करं कर्म राज्यार्थे भरतर्षभ ॥ १-९४-८० ॥
'Addressed in this manner, the chief of the fishermen, driven by the desire for sovereignty for his daughter's son, and determined to accomplish the nearly impossible task, then spoke, 'O virtuous one, you have come here as the full representative of your father.' ॥ 1-94-80 ॥

itya uktaH punara evAtha taM dAzaH paratyabhASata cikIrSura duSkaraM karma rAjyArthe bharatarSabha ॥ 1-94-80 ॥
