तया कमलपत्राक्ष्या नियुक्तॊ दयौस तदा नृपः ऋषेस तस्य तपस तीव्रं न शशाक निरीक्षितुम हृता गौः सा तदा तेन परपातस तु न तर्कितः ।। १-९३-२७ ।।

sanskrit

'Appointed by her with lotus-petal eyes, Dyu, the king at that time, could not bear to witness the intense penance of that sage. When he took the cow away, the reason for his action was not scrutinized.' ।। 1-93-27 ।।

english translation

tayA kamalapatrAkSyA niyuktò dayausa tadA nRpaH RSesa tasya tapasa tIvraM na zazAka nirIkSituma hRtA gauH sA tadA tena parapAtasa tu na tarkitaH || 1-93-27 ||
