[य] हित्वा सॊ ऽसून सुप्तवन निष्ठनित्वा; पुरॊधाय सुकृतं दुष्कृतं च अन्यां यॊनिं पवनाग्रानुसारी; हित्वा देहं भजते राजसिंह ॥ १-८५-१८ ॥
'Yayati said, 'O lion among kings, the person that dies assumes a subtle form; and retaining consciousness of all his acts as in a dream, he enters some other form with a speed quicker than that of air itself.' ॥ 1-85-18 ॥
