स राजा सिंहविक्रान्तॊ युवा विषयगॊचरः अविरॊधेन धर्मस्य चचार सुखम उत्तमम ।। १-८०-६ ।।

sanskrit

'The monarch, possessing the strength of a lion and the vigor of youth, enjoyed every pleasure within the bounds of righteousness. He found great happiness in fulfilling all his desires with righteousness as his guide.' ।। 1-80-6 ।।

'The king, well-versed in the intricacies of time, and adept at observing proper Kalas and Kashthas, indulged in blissful encounters with Viswachi. These rendezvous occurred alternately in the enchanting gardens of Indra, the celestial city of Alaka belonging to Kuvera, and atop the northern peak of Mount Meru. As the righteous monarch observed the completion of a thousand years, he called upon his son Puru and spoke to him as follows:' ।। 1-80-8 ।।

'O son, as the oppressor of foes, you have allowed me to relish the pleasures of life fully, embracing each according to its season and to the extent of my desires and capabilities.' ।। 1-80-9 ।।
