[देव] केनास्य अर्थेन नृपते इमं देशम उपागतः जिघृक्षुर वारिजं किं चिद अथ वा मृगलिप्सया ॥ १-७६-१४ ॥

sanskrit

'Devayani then enquired, "For what purpose, O king, have you come to this place? Are you desiring to quench your thirst, or perhaps, are you here for hunting?" ' ॥ 1-76-14 ॥

english translation

[deva] kenAsya arthena nRpate imaM dezama upAgataH jighRkSura vArijaM kiM cida atha vA mRgalipsayA ॥ 1-76-14 ॥
