[षु] यत किं चिद अस्ति दरविणं दैत्येन्द्राणां महासुर तस्येश्वरॊ ऽसमि यदि ते देव यानी परसाद्यताम ॥ १-७५-११ ॥
'Sukra then answered, 'If it is true, O great Asura, that I am the lord of all the wealth of the Asuras, then go and gratify Devayani.'' ॥ 1-75-11 ॥
english translation
[देव] यदि तवम ईश्वरस तात राज्ञॊ वित्तस्य भार्गव नाभिजानामि तत ते ऽहं राजा तु वदतु सवयम ॥ १-७५-१२ ॥
'Vaisampayana went on to narrate, "Upon being addressed thus by Vrishaparvan, the great Kavya proceeded to inform Devayani of everything. Without delay, Devayani responded, 'O Bhargava, if you indeed hold sovereignty over the Asura king and all his riches, then let the king himself approach me and affirm this before me."' ॥ 1-75-12 ॥

[वृ] यं कामम अभिकामासि देव यानि शुचिस्मिते तत ते ऽहं संप्रदास्यामि यदि चेद अपि दुर्लभम ॥ १-७५-१३ ॥
'Vrishaparvan then approached Devayani and said, "O Devayani, with your sweet smile, whatever your heart desires, I am prepared to fulfill, no matter how challenging it may be to do so."' ॥ 1-75-13 ॥

[देव] दासीं कन्या सहस्रेण शर्मिष्ठाम अभिकामये अनु मां तत्र गच्छेत सा यत्र दास्यति मे पिता ॥ १-७५-१४ ॥
'Devayani replied, "I desire Sharmishtha along with a thousand maidservants to attend to me. She must accompany me wherever my father decides to give me away."' ॥ 1-75-14 ॥

[वृ] उत्तिष्ठ हे संग्रहीत्रि शर्मिष्ठां शीघ्रम आनय यं च कामयते कामं देव यानी करॊतु तम ॥ १-७५-१५ ॥
'Vrishaparvan then instructed one of his attendants, saying, "Go and swiftly bring Sharmishtha here. Ensure she fulfills whatever Devayani desires."' ॥ 1-75-15 ॥
