भजमानान भजस्वास्मान कुरु नः साह्यम उत्तमम यासौ विद्या निवसति बराह्मणे ऽमिततेजसि शुक्रे ताम आहर कषिप्रं भागभान नॊ भविष्यसि ॥ १-७१-११ ॥
'They addressed him, stating, "We seek your favor, show kindness towards us and render us a service we consider of immense importance. Secure for yourself, as swiftly as possible, that knowledge which dwells within Sukra, the Brahmana of boundless might."' ॥ 1-71-11 ॥
english translation
वृषपर्व समीपे स शक्यॊ दरष्टुं तवया दविजः रक्षते दानवांस तत्र न स रक्षत्य अदानवान ॥ १-७१-१२ ॥
'You will encounter the Brahmana within the confines of Vrishaparvan's court. He consistently safeguards the Danavas, yet never extends such protection to us, their adversaries.' ॥ 1-71-12 ॥
english translation
तम आराधयितुं शक्तॊ भवान पूर्ववयाः कविम देव यानीं च दयितां सुतां तस्य महात्मनः ॥ १-७१-१३ ॥
'Being younger, you are well-equipped to pay him due reverence. You can also pay homage to Devayani, the cherished daughter of that noble-hearted Brahmana.' ॥ 1-71-13 ॥
english translation
तवम आराधयितुं शक्तॊ नान्यः कश चन विद्यते शीलदाक्षिण्य माधुर्यैर आचारेण दमेन च देव यान्यां हि तुष्टायां विद्यां तां पराप्स्यसि धरुवम ॥ १-७१-१४ ॥
'Truly, you alone possess the capability to appease them both through worship. There is no one else who can achieve this. By pleasing Devayani with your demeanor, generosity, amiability, and overall conduct, you will undoubtedly attain that knowledge.' ॥ 1-71-14 ॥

तथेत्य उक्त्वा ततः परायाद बृहस्पतिसुतः कचः तदाभिपूजितॊ देवैः समीपं वृषपर्वणः ॥ १-७१-१५ ॥
'Upon being implored by the gods, Vrihaspati's son, Kacha, responded, "So be it," and proceeded towards the location of Vrishaparvan.' ॥ 1-71-15 ॥
