अथर्षयश च देवाश च बराह्मणम उपगम्य तु अग्नेर आवेदयञ शापं करिया संहारम एव च ॥ १-७-१५ ॥
'Then the Rishis and the gods went together to the presence of Brahma. And they represented to him all about the curse on Agni and the consequent interruption of all ceremonies.'॥ 1-7-15 ॥
