वेदेष्व अपि वदन्तीमं मन्त्रवादं दविजातयः जातकर्मणि पुत्राणां तवापि विदितं तथा ॥ १-६८-६१ ॥
'Among the twice-born, during the ceremony of birth, this mantra is recited, known to you as well.' ॥ 1-68-61 ॥
english translation
अङ्गाद अङ्गात संभवसि हृदयाद अभिजायसे आत्मा वै पुत्र नामासि स जीव शरदः शतम ॥ १-६८-६२ ॥
'You are born of my body, from my heart you emerge. Indeed, you are known as my son, my soul; may you live a hundred autumns.' ॥ 1-68-62 ॥
english translation
पॊषॊ हि तवदधीनॊ मे संतानम अपि चाक्षयम तस्मात तवं जीव मे वत्स सुसुखी शरदां शतम ॥ १-६८-६३ ॥
'My sustenance and indeed my everlasting lineage depends on you. Therefore, my child, live a contented life for a hundred years.' ॥ 1-68-63 ॥
english translation
तवद अङ्गेभ्यः परसूतॊ ऽयं पुरुषात पुरुषॊ ऽपरः सरसीवामल आत्मानं दवितीयं पश्य मे सुतम ॥ १-६८-६४ ॥
'Behold, from your body has emerged this second self! See your reflection in your son, as one sees their image in a tranquil lake.' ॥ 1-68-64 ॥
english translation
यथा हय आहवनीयॊ ऽगनिर गार्पपत्यात परणीयते तथा तवत्तः परसूतॊ ऽयं तवम एकः सन दविधाकृतः ॥ १-६८-६५ ॥
'Just as the ritual fire is ignited from the domestic flame, similarly, this child has originated from you. Though inherently one, you have manifested in dual forms.' ॥ 1-68-65 ॥
