बराह्मणॊ दविपदां शरेष्ठॊ गौर वरिष्ठा चतुष्पदाम गुरुर गरीयसां शरेष्ठः पुत्रः सपर्शवतां वरः ॥ १-६८-५६ ॥
'Just as a Brahmana is the preeminent among all human beings, a cow is the most esteemed among quadrupeds, a protector holds the highest position among superiors, similarly, a son is the most cherished among all objects, delightful to the touch.' ॥ 1-68-56 ॥
