ऋचॊ बह्वृच मुख्यैश च परेर्यमाणाः पदक्रमैः शुश्राव मनुजव्याघ्रॊ विततेष्व इह कर्मसु ।। १-६४-३१ ।।

'In specific locations, that distinguished figure among men was greeted by the melodious chanting of Rigvedic hymns, performed by premier Brahmanas adhering to the precise norms of intonation. Other areas were adorned with Brahmanas skilled in the sacrificial rites, familiar with the supplementary Angas, and proficient in the hymns of the Yajurveda.' ।। 1-64-31 ।।

'And at other places again, other Brahmanas well-acquainted with the science of orthoepy were reciting mantras of other kinds. In fact, that sacred retreat resounding with these holy notes was like unto a second region of Brahman himself.' ।। 1-64-34 ।।
