इत्य उक्त्वा स महीं देवॊ बरह्मा राजन विसृज्य च आदिदेश तदा सर्वान विबुधान भूतकृत सवयम ॥ १-५८-४५ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'After addressing the Earth in this manner, O king, the divine Brahman bid her farewell. Following that, the Creator instructed all the gods, 'To alleviate the Earth of her burden, take births in her according to your respective roles and engage in conflict (with the already existing Asuras).'' ॥ 1-58-45 ॥
