न हीमां पवनॊ राजन न नागा न नगा महीम तदा धारयितुं शेकुर आक्रान्तां दानवैर बलात ।। १-५८-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'O King, neither the wind nor mountains nor rivers could support this Earth when the demoniac forces forcibly seized it.' ।। 1-58-36 ।।

english translation

na hImAM pavanò rAjana na nAgA na nagA mahIma tadA dhArayituM zekura AkrAntAM dAnavaira balAta || 1-58-36 ||

'Adorned and revered by joyful Gandharvas and ever-dedicated Apsaras in the celestial duties, the Earth, seeking protection, laid bare her concerns in the presence of all the Regents of the worlds, O Bharata.' ।। 1-58-39 ।।
