धर्मात्मा च महात्मा च परजा पालः पिता तव आसीद इह यथावृत्तः स महात्मा शृणुष्व तत ॥ १-४५-६ ॥
'Like unto an impersonation of virtue and justice, the monarch, cognisant of virtue, virtuously protected the four orders, each engaged in the discharge of their specified duties.' ॥ 1-45-6 ॥
english translation
चातुर्वर्ण्यं सवधर्मस्थं स कृत्वा पर्यरक्षत धर्मतॊ धर्मविद राजा धर्मॊ विग्रहवान इव ॥ १-४५-७ ॥
'The king, a knower and upholder of righteousness, diligently protected the system of four varnas, each adhering to its respective duties, and personified the embodiment of dharma, appearing as if dharma itself in human form.' ॥ 1-45-7 ॥
english translation
ररक्ष पृथिवीं देवीं शरीमान अतुलविक्रमः दवेष्टारस तस्य नैवासन स च न दवेष्टि कं चन समः सर्वेषु भूतेषु परजापतिर इवाभवत ॥ १-४५-८ ॥
'Of incomparable prowess, and blessed with fortune, he protected the goddess Earth. None hated him and he hated none. Like unto Prajapati (Brahma) he was equally disposed towards all creatures.' ॥ 1-45-8 ॥

बराह्मणाः कषत्रिया वैश्याः शूद्राश चैव सवकर्मसु सथिताः सुमनसॊ राजंस तेन राज्ञा सवनुष्ठिताः ॥ १-४५-९ ॥
'O monarch, Brahmanas and Kshatriyas and Vaisyas and Sudras, all engaged contentedly in the practice of their respective duties, were impartially protected by that king.' ॥ 1-45-9 ॥

विधवानाथ कृपणान विकलांश च बभार सः सुदर्शः सर्वभूतानाम आसीत सॊम इवापरः ॥ १-४५-१० ॥
'He took care of widows, orphans, the maimed, and the poor, resembling the moon in his benevolence towards all beings with his handsome features.' ॥ 1-45-10 ॥
