असनामेति वै मत्वा भरणे चाविचारिते मॊक्षभावे सथितश चापि दवन्द्वी भूतः परिग्रहे ॥ १-४२-१९ ॥
'Thinking that she had been bestowed without proper consideration and due examination, and considering the renunciation leading to liberation, the sage, who remained firm in his resolve for liberation, became involved in a dual state regarding the acceptance of gifts.' ॥ 1-42-19 ॥
