तस्य तवया नरव्याघ्र सर्पः पराणैर वियॊजितः अवसक्तॊ धनुष्कॊट्या सखन्धे भरतसत्तम कषान्तवांस तव तत कर्म पुत्रस तस्य न चक्षमे ॥ १-३८-१८ ॥
'By thee, O tiger among men was placed on the shoulders of that Rishi observing at present the vow of silence, a dead snake, with the end of thy bow! He forgave thee that act. But his son could not.' ॥ 1-38-18 ॥
