अपरे तव अब्रुवन नागाः समिद्धं जातवेदसम वर्षैर निर्वापयिष्यामॊ मेघा भूत्वा सविद्युतः ॥ १-३३-२१ ॥
'Others among the serpents spoke to you, O wise one, 'We shall pour down showers in abundance, becoming clouds with lightning.' ॥ 1-33-21 ॥
english translation
सरुग्भाण्डं निशि गत्वा वा अपरे भुजगॊत्तमाः परमत्तानां हरन्त्व आशु विघ्न एवं भविष्यति ॥ १-३३-२२ ॥
'Whether in the sacrifice or in that serpent, in hundreds or thousands, May all obstacles be dispelled; thus, tranquility will prevail.' ॥ 1-33-22 ॥
english translation
यज्ञे वा भुजगास तस्मिञ शतशॊ ऽथ सहस्रशः जनं दशन्तु वै सर्वम एवं तरासॊ भविष्यति ॥ १-३३-२३ ॥
'This is the final deliberation of us all, O thou who hearest with thy eyes! Then, do speedily what thou deemest proper.' ॥ 1-33-23 ॥
english translation
अथ वा संस्कृतं भॊज्यं दूषयन्तु भुजंगमाः सवेन मूत्र पुरीषेण सर्वभॊज्य विनाशिना ॥ १-३३-२४ ॥
'Or, let the serpents defile the pure food with their food-defiling urine and dung.' ॥ 1-33-24 ॥

अपरे तव अब्रुवंस तत्र ऋत्विजॊ ऽसय भवामहे यज्ञविघ्नं करिष्यामॊ दीयतां दक्षिणा इति वश्यतां च गतॊ ऽसौ नः करिष्यति यथेप्षितम ॥ १-३३-२५ ॥
'Others said, 'Let us become the king's Ritwiks, and obstruct hissacrifice by saying at the outset, 'Give us the sacrificial fee.' He (the king), being placed in our power, will do whatever we like.' ॥ 1-33-25 ॥
