स उपाध्यायेनानुज्ञातः समावृत्तस तस्माद गुरु कुलवासाद गृहाश्रमं परत्यपद्यत तस्यापि सवगृहे वसतस तरयः शिष्या बभूवुः ॥ १-३-८३ ॥
'Having received permission from his preceptor and having completed his education, Upamanyu left his teacher's abode and embraced the household life. Dwelling in his own home, he too, like his teacher, became surrounded by disciples in his household.' ॥ 1-3-83 ॥
