कार्यकालं च मन्ये ऽहं विधिदृष्टस्य कर्मणः तद गच्छापचितिं राजन पितुस तस्य महात्मनः ॥ १-३-१८६ ॥
'The moment for the ordained act of vengeance has arrived, I believe. Therefore, go forth and seek retribution for the demise of your noble father.' ॥ 1-3-186 ॥
english translation
तेन हय अनपराधी स दष्टॊ दुष्टान्तर आत्मना पञ्चत्वम अगमद राजा वर्जाहत इव दरुमः ॥ १-३-१८७ ॥
'The king's father, bitten unjustly by that wicked serpent, met his end, dissolving into the five elements, akin to a tree struck by lightning without provocation.' ॥ 1-3-187 ॥
english translation
बलदर्प समुत्सिक्तस तक्षकः पन्नगाधमः अकार्यं कृतवान पापॊ यॊ ऽदशत पितरं तव ॥ १-३-१८८ ॥
'The wicked Takshaka, vilest of the serpent race, intoxicated with power committed an unnecessary act when he bit the King, that god-like father, the protector of the race of royal saints.' ॥ 1-3-188 ॥
english translation
राजर्षिर वंशगॊप्तारम अमर परतिमं नृपम जघान काश्यपं चैव नयवर्तयत पापकृत ॥ १-३-१८९ ॥
'Wicked in his deeds, he even caused Kasyapa (the prince of physicians) to run back when he was coming for the relief of thy father.' ॥ 1-3-189 ॥

दग्धुम अर्हसि तं पापं जवलिते हव्यवाहने सर्वसत्रे महाराज तवयि तद धि विधीयते ॥ १-३-१९० ॥
'It behoveth thee to burn the wicked wretch in the blazing fire of a snake sacrifice. O King! Give instant orders for the sacrifice.' ॥ 1-3-190 ॥
