जघन्यजस तक्षकस्य शरुतसेनेति यः शरुतः अवसद्यॊ महद दयुम्नि परार्थयन नागमुख्यताम करवाणि सदा चाहं नमस तस्मै महात्मने ॥ १-३-१४६ ॥
'The one named Sharutsenu, the son of Takshaka, who, seated on a magnificent chariot, constantly demonstrated leadership, assuming the role of the chief serpent. I forever bow in reverence to that noble soul, who worked tirelessly for the well-being of others, sitting prominently in the illustrious assembly of Nagas.' ॥ 1-3-146 ॥
