एकं शतसहस्रेण संमितं राष्ट्रवर्धनम चित्रम उच्चावचैर वर्णैः शॊभितं शलक्ष्णम अव्रणम ।। १-२१६-६ ।।

sanskrit

'It was a multiplier of kingdoms, adorned with splendid colors, beautifully embellished, flawless and without any mark of weakness or injury.' ।। 1-216-6 ।।

english translation

ekaM zatasahasreNa saMmitaM rASTravardhanama citrama uccAvacaira varNaiH zòbhitaM zalakSNama avraNama || 1-216-6 ||

hk transliteration

देवदानवगन्धर्वैः पूजितं शाश्वतीः समाः परादाद वै धनु रत्नं तद अक्षय्यौ च महेषुधी ।। १-२१६-७ ।।

sanskrit

'He (Varuna) gave the jewel of a bow, worshipped for eternal years by gods, demons, and gandharvas, and two inexhaustible quivers.' ।। 1-216-7 ।।

english translation

devadAnavagandharvaiH pUjitaM zAzvatIH samAH parAdAda vai dhanu ratnaM tada akSayyau ca maheSudhI || 1-216-7 ||

hk transliteration

रथं च दिव्याश्वयुजं कपिप्रवर केतनम उपेतं राजतैर अश्वैर गान्धर्वैर हेममालिभिः पाण्डुराभ्रप्रतीकाशैर मनॊ वायुसमैर जवे ।। १-२१६-८ ।।

sanskrit

'He also presented a chariot adorned with celestial weapons, its banner bearing a large ape. Yoked to this chariot were steeds as white as silver clouds, born in the realm of the Gandharvas, adorned with golden harness, and as swift as the wind or thought.' ।। 1-216-8 ।।

english translation

rathaM ca divyAzvayujaM kapipravara ketanama upetaM rAjataira azvaira gAndharvaira hemamAlibhiH pANDurAbhrapratIkAzaira manò vAyusamaira jave || 1-216-8 ||

सर्वॊपकरणैर युक्तम अजय्यं देवदानवैः भानुमन्तं महाघॊषं सर्वभूतमनॊहरम ।। १-२१६-९ ।।

sanskrit

'It was armed with formidable weapons, impervious to defeat by gods or demons. Its splendor was magnificent, and the thunderous sound of its wheels was tremendous.' ।। 1-216-9 ।।

english translation

sarvòpakaraNaira yuktama ajayyaM devadAnavaiH bhAnumantaM mahAghòSaM sarvabhUtamanòharama || 1-216-9 ||

ससर्ज यत सवतपसा भौवनॊ भुवन परभुः परजापतिर अनिर्देश्यं यस्य रूपं रवेर इव ।। १-२१६-१० ।।

sanskrit

'It delighted the heart of every creature that beheld it. Crafted by Viswakarman, the architect of the universe and one of the lords of creation, through rigorous ascetic meditation, its brilliance rivaled that of the sun, dazzling to the extent that none could gaze upon it directly.' ।। 1-216-10 ।।

sasarja yata savatapasA bhauvanò bhuvana parabhuH parajApatira anirdezyaM yasya rUpaM ravera iva || 1-216-10 ||
