सत्कृतस तवत्कृते पार्तः सर्वैर अस्माभिर अच्युत न च सॊ ऽरहति तां पूजां दुर्बुद्धिः कुलपांसनः ॥ १-२१२-२६ ॥
'O Achyuta, it was for your sake that we welcomed and honored the son of Pritha. However, it appears that the vile wretch did not deserve our homage.' ॥ 1-212-26 ॥
english translation
कॊ हि तत्रैव भुक्त्वान्नं भाजनं भेत्तुम अर्हति मन्यमानः कुले जातम आत्मानं पुरुषः कव चित ॥ १-२१२-२७ ॥
'What person of noble birth, after partaking in another's hospitality, would stoop so low as to destroy the vessels that served him? Such an act is beneath anyone who considers themselves born of good lineage.' ॥ 1-212-27 ॥
english translation
ईप्समानश च संबन्धं कृप पूर्वं च मानयन कॊ हि नाम भवेनार्थी साहसेन समाचरेत ॥ १-२१२-२८ ॥
'Even if someone desires to form such an alliance, considering all the favors received, who, seeking happiness, would act so recklessly?' ॥ 1-212-28 ॥
english translation
सॊ ऽवमन्य च नामास्मान अनादृत्य च केशवम परसह्य हृतवान अद्य सुभद्रां मृत्युम आत्मनः ॥ १-२१२-२९ ॥
'That Pandava, disregarding us and even you, has today offended Subhadra, seemingly seeking his demise.' ॥ 1-212-29 ॥
english translation
कथं हि शिरसॊ मध्ये पदं तेन कृतं मम मर्षयिष्यामि गॊविन्द पादस्पर्शम इवॊरगः ॥ १-२१२-३० ॥
'O Krishna, how can I possibly endure this insult of his foot upon my head? It's as unbearable to me as a serpent would find the touch of a foot upon its body.' ॥ 1-212-30 ॥
