किम इदं कुरुथाप्रज्ञास तूष्णींभूते जनार्दने अस्य भावम अविज्ञाय संक्रुद्धा मॊघगर्जिताः ॥ १-२१२-२१ ॥
'You senseless men, what are you doing while Janardana remains silent? Without understanding his intention, we roar in anger in vain!' ॥ 1-212-21 ॥
english translation
एष तावद अभिप्रायम आख्यातु सवं महामतिः यद अस्य रुचितं कर्तुं तत कुरुध्वम अतन्द्रिताः ॥ १-२१२-२२ ॥
'Let the noble Krishna reveal his plan. Let us promptly execute whatever he wishes to do.' ॥ 1-212-22 ॥
english translation
ततस ते तद वचः शरुत्वा गराह्य रूपं हलायुधात तूष्णींभूतास ततः सर्वे साधु साध्व इति चाब्रुवन ॥ १-२१२-२३ ॥
'Upon hearing those words from Halayudha that were worthy of acceptance, all exclaimed, "Excellent! Excellent!"' ॥ 1-212-23 ॥

समं वचॊ निशम्येति बलदेवस्य धीमतः पुनर एव सभामध्ये सर्वे तु समुपाविशन ॥ १-२१२-२४ ॥
'They all fell silent, their voices subdued by the wise words of Baladeva. Resuming their seats, they settled back into the assembly.' ॥ 1-212-24 ॥

ततॊ ऽबरवीत कामपालॊ वासुदेवं परंतपम किम अवाग उपविष्टॊ ऽसि परेक्षमाणॊ जनार्दन ॥ १-२१२-२५ ॥
'Then Rama, the vanquisher of enemies, spoke to Vasudeva, saying, "Why, O Janardana, do you sit silently gazing?"' ॥ 1-212-25 ॥
