तच छरुत्वा वृष्णिवीरास ते मदरक्तान्त लॊचनाः अमृष्यमाणाः पार्थस्य समुत्पेतुर अहं कृताः ॥ १-२१२-१६ ॥
'The proud heroes of the Vrishni clan, their eyes reddened with wine, immediately rose from their seats upon hearing it, unable to tolerate what Arjuna had accomplished.' ॥ 1-212-16 ॥
english translation
यॊजयध्वं रथान आशु परासान आहरतेति च धनूंषि च महार्हाणि कवचानि बृहन्ति च ॥ १-२१२-१७ ॥
'Some among them said, "Yoke our chariots," others said, "Fetch our weapons," and some said, "Bring our precious bows and sturdy coats of mail."' ॥ 1-212-17 ॥

सूतान उच्चुक्रुशुः केच चिद रथान यॊजयतेति च सवयं च तुरगान के चिन निन्युर हेमविभूषितान ॥ १-२१२-१८ ॥
'Some loudly instructed their charioteers to harness their chariots, while others impatiently yoked their own horses adorned with gold to their chariots.' ॥ 1-212-18 ॥

रथेष्व आनीयमानेषु कवचेषु धवजेषु च अभिक्रन्दे नृवीराणां तदासीत संकुलं महत ॥ १-२१२-१९ ॥
'As their chariots, armor, and banners were brought forth, the uproar among those heroes grew louder.' ॥ 1-212-19 ॥

वनमाली ततः कषीबः कैलासशिखरॊपमः नीलवासा मदॊत्सिक्त इदं वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ १-२१२-२० ॥
'Then Baladeva, tall and fair as the peak of Mount Kailash, adorned with garlands of wildflowers and dressed in blue robes, proud and filled with the intoxication of drink, spoke these words:' ॥ 1-212-20 ॥
