कृताभिषेकैर विद्वद्भिर नियतैः सत्पथि सथितैः शुशुभे ऽतीव तद राजन गङ्गा दवारं महात्मभिः ॥ १-२०६-१० ॥
'Performing ablutions, offering oblations of clarified butter with mantras, and adorning those fires with floral offerings, that region where the Ganges entered the plains became exceedingly beautiful.' ॥ 1-206-10 ॥
