परमाणम अस्मि यदि ते मत्तः शृणु वचॊ ऽनघ अनुप्रवेशे यद वीर कृतवांस तवं ममाप्रियम सर्वं तद अनुजानामि वयलीकं न च मे हृदि ॥ १-२०५-२६ ॥
'If you seek my counsel, noble soul, heed my words. Brave warrior, whatever transgression you may have committed in your arrival, know that I forgive it entirely. My heart harbors no deceit in this matter.' ॥ 1-205-26 ॥

गुरॊर अनुप्रवेशॊ हि नॊपघातॊ यवीयसः यवीयसॊ ऽनुप्रवेशॊ जयेष्ठस्य विधिलॊपकः ॥ १-२०५-२७ ॥
'Entering the guru's chamber is not an offense for the younger. However, the younger's entry is a breach of etiquette for the elder.' ॥ 1-205-27 ॥

निवर्तस्व महाबाहॊ कुरुष्व वचनं मम न हि ते धर्मलॊपॊ ऽसति न च मे धर्षणा कृता ॥ १-२०५-२८ ॥
'Therefore, O mighty-armed one, abandon your intention. Follow my advice. Your virtue remains untarnished. You have not disregarded me.' ॥ 1-205-28 ॥

[आर्ज] न वयाजेन चरेद धर्मम इति मे भवतः शरुतम न सत्याद विचलिष्यामि सत्येनायुधम आलभे ॥ १-२०५-२९ ॥
'Arjuna, upon hearing this, replied, "I have heard from you as well that equivocation is not permitted in the discharge of duty. I cannot deviate from truth. Truth is my weapon."' ॥ 1-205-29 ॥

[वै] सॊ ऽभयनुज्ञाप्य राजानं बरह्मचर्याय दीक्षितः वने दवादश वर्षाणि वासायॊपजगाम ह ॥ १-२०५-३० ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'Having obtained the king's permission, Arjuna prepared himself for a life in the forest. He went to dwell there for twelve years.'' ॥ 1-205-30 ॥
