ततः पितामहस तत्र सह देवैर महर्षिभिः आजगाम विशुद्धात्मा पूजयिष्यंस तिलॊत्तमाम ।। १-२०४-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'At that moment, Pitamaha (Brahma), accompanied by the gods and great sages, arrived at the scene with a pure heart, intending to pay homage to Tilottama for her role in fulfilling their plan.' ।। 1-204-21 ।।

english translation

tataH pitAmahasa tatra saha devaira maharSibhiH AjagAma vizuddhAtmA pUjayiSyaMsa tilòttamAma || 1-204-21 ||

hk transliteration

वरेण छन्दिता सा तु बरह्मणा परीतिम एव ह वरयाम आस तत्रैनां परीतः पराह पितामहः ।। १-२०४-२२ ।।

sanskrit

'The illustrious Grandsire praised Tilottama and expressed his desire to grant her a boon.' ।। 1-204-22 ।।

english translation

vareNa chanditA sA tu barahmaNA parItima eva ha varayAma Asa tatrainAM parItaH parAha pitAmahaH || 1-204-22 ||

hk transliteration

आदित्यचरिताँल लॊकान विचरिष्यसि भामिनि तेजसा च सुदृष्टां तवां न करिष्यति कश चन ।। १-२०४-२३ ।।

sanskrit

'Brahma declared to the luminous Tilottama, 'You shall roam freely through all the realms touched by the sun's path, and your radiance will be so intense that no one will be able to gaze upon you directly.' ।। 1-204-23 ।।

english translation

AdityacaritA~la lòkAna vicariSyasi bhAmini tejasA ca sudRSTAM tavAM na kariSyati kaza cana || 1-204-23 ||

hk transliteration

एवं तस्यै वरं दत्त्वा सर्वलॊकपितामहः इन्द्रे तरैलॊक्यम आधाय बरह्मलॊकं गतः परभुः ।। १-२०४-२४ ।।

sanskrit

'Granting her this boon, the Grandsire of all creatures restored order in the three worlds, as it was before, and then returned to his own abode.' ।। 1-204-24 ।।

english translation

evaM tasyai varaM dattvA sarvalòkapitAmahaH indre tarailòkyama AdhAya barahmalòkaM gataH parabhuH || 1-204-24 ||

hk transliteration

एवं तौ सहितौ भूत्वा सर्वार्थेष्व एकनिश्चयौ तिलॊत्तमार्थे संक्रुद्धाव अन्यॊन्यम अभिजघ्नतुः ।। १-२०४-२५ ।।

sanskrit

'Narada continued, 'It was thus that Asuras, ever united and inspired by the same purpose slew each other in wrath for the sake of Tilottama.' ।। 1-204-25 ।।

evaM tau sahitau bhUtvA sarvArtheSva ekanizcayau tilòttamArthe saMkruddhAva anyònyama abhijaghnatuH || 1-204-25 ||
