पृथिव्यां ये तपःसिद्धा दान्ताः शम परायणाः तयॊर भयाद दुद्रुवुस ते वैनतेयाद इवॊरगाः ॥ १-२०२-१७ ॥
'The ascetic sages on Earth, who had attained perfection through their austerities, were deeply tranquil and absorbed in meditation on the deity. Yet, out of fear of the Asura brothers, they fled like serpents at the sight of Garuda, Vinata's son.' ॥ 1-202-17 ॥
