रत्नैः परलॊभयाम आसुः सत्रीभिश चॊभौ पुनः पुनः न च तौ चक्रतुर भङ्गं वरतस्य सुमहाव्रतौ ॥ १-२०१-११ ॥
'Despite tempting them with jewels and repeatedly enticing them with women, they did not deviate from their severe vow of celibacy.' ॥ 1-201-11 ॥

ratnaiH paralòbhayAma AsuH satrIbhiza còbhau punaH punaH na ca tau cakratura bhaGgaM varatasya sumahAvratau ॥ 1-201-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ मायां पुनर देवास तयॊश चक्रुर महात्मनॊः भगिन्यॊ मातरॊ भार्यास तयॊः परिजनस तथा ॥ १-२०१-१२ ॥
'Then, the celestials once more manifested their powers of illusion before the illustrious brothers. They appeared as their sisters, mothers, wives, and other relatives.' ॥ 1-201-12 ॥

atha mAyAM punara devAsa tayòza cakrura mahAtmanòH bhaginyò mAtarò bhAryAsa tayòH parijanasa tathA ॥ 1-201-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरिपात्यमाना वित्रस्ताः शूलहस्तेन रक्षसा सरस्ताभरण केशान्ता एकान्तभ्रष्टवाससः ॥ १-२०१-१३ ॥
'With disheveled hair, their ornaments and robes disarrayed, they ran towards them in terror, pursued and struck by a Rakshasa wielding a lance.' ॥ 1-201-13 ॥

paripAtyamAnA vitrastAH zUlahastena rakSasA sarastAbharaNa kezAntA ekAntabhraSTavAsasaH ॥ 1-201-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअभिधाव्य ततः सर्वास तौ तराहीति विचुक्रुशुः न च तौ चक्रतुर भङ्गं वरतस्य सुमहाव्रतौ ॥ १-२०१-१४ ॥
'It appeared that the women pleaded for help from the brothers, crying out, "O save us!" Yet despite these entreaties, the brothers remained steadfast in their vows and did not yield.' ॥ 1-201-14 ॥

abhidhAvya tataH sarvAsa tau tarAhIti vicukruzuH na ca tau cakratura bhaGgaM varatasya sumahAvratau ॥ 1-201-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयदा कषॊभं नॊपयाति नार्तिम अन्यतरस तयॊः ततः सत्रियस ता भूतं च सर्वम अन्तरधीयत ॥ १-२०१-१५ ॥
'And when it was found that all these efforts produced not the slightest impression on either of the two, both the women and the Rakshasa vanished from sight.' ॥ 1-201-15 ॥

yadA kaSòbhaM nòpayAti nArtima anyatarasa tayòH tataH satriyasa tA bhUtaM ca sarvama antaradhIyata ॥ 1-201-15 ॥
