अङ्गारपर्णं निर्जित्य गङ्गाकूले ऽरजुनस तदा भरातृभिः सहितः सर्वैः पाञ्चालान अभितॊ ययौ ॥ १-२-८६ ॥
'The departure of the Pandavas for Panchala in obedience to the injunction of Vyasa, and moved equally by the desire of winning the hand of Draupadi on learning the tidings of the Swayamvara from the lips of a Brahmana; victory of Arjuna over a Gandharva, called Angaraparna. ' ॥ 1-2-86 ॥

तापत्यम अथ वासिष्ठम और्वं चाख्यानम उत्तमम पञ्चेन्द्राणाम उपाख्यानम अत्रैवाद्भुतम उच्यते ॥ १-२-८७ ॥
' On the banks of the Bhagirathi, his contraction of friendship with his adversary, and his hearing from the Gandharva the history of Tapati, Vasishtha, and Aurva. ' ॥ 1-2-87 ॥

पञ्चानाम एकपत्नीत्वे विमर्शॊ दरुपदस्य च दरौपद्या देव विहितॊ विवाहश चाप्य अमानुषः ॥ १-२-८८ ॥
'Contemplating the unique circumstance of being the common spouse of the five, Draupadi was divinely ordained to have a marriage transcending human conventions. ' ॥ 1-2-88 ॥

विदुरस्य च संप्राप्तिर दर्शनं केशवस्य च खाण्डव परस्थवासश च तथा राज्यार्ध शासनम ॥ १-२-८९ ॥
'The extraordinary and divinely-ordained wedding of Draupadi; the sending of Vidura by the sons of Dhritarashtra as envoy to the Pandavas; the arrival of Vidura and his sight to Krishna; the abode of the Pandavas in Khandava-prastha, and then their rule over one half of the kingdom; ' ॥ 1-2-89 ॥

नारदस्याज्ञया चैव दरौपद्याः समयक्रिया सुन्दॊपसुन्दयॊस तत्र उपाख्यानं परकीर्तितम ॥ १-२-९० ॥
'Under the directive of Narada, Draupadi's strategic initiatives, and the compelling tale of Sundopasundas, unfold as significant narratives in this episode.' ॥ 1-2-90 ॥
