परत्याख्यानं च कृष्णस्य राज्ञा दुर्यॊधनेन वै शमार्थं याचमानस्य पक्षयॊर उभयॊर हितम ॥ १-२-१४६ ॥
' Then comes the rejection by Prince Duryodhana of the embassy of Krishna who had come to solicit peace for the benefit of both parties.' ॥ 1-2-146 ॥

' Following this, Krishna personally took Karna in his chariot, offering him guidance and advice. However, due to his pride, Karna rejected the counsel extended by Krishna.' ॥ 1-2-148 ॥
