कथं हि पाण्डवः शरीमान सव्यसाची परंतपः शक्यॊ विजेतुं संग्रामे राजन मघवता अपि ॥ १-१९७-१६ ॥
'Blest be thou! Can the handsome Dhananjaya, the son of Pandu, who wields both his right and left hands with equal prowess, be defeated in battle even by Indra himself?' ॥ 1-197-16 ॥
english translation
kathaM hi pANDavaH zarImAna savyasAcI paraMtapaH zakyò vijetuM saMgrAme rAjana maghavatA api ॥ 1-197-16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभीमसेनॊ महाबाहुर नागायुत बलॊ महान कथं हि युधि शक्येत विजेतुम अमरैर अपि ॥ १-१९७-१७ ॥
'Can the mighty Bhimasena, with his powerful arms and the strength of ten thousand elephants, be defeated in battle even by the immortals themselves?' ॥ 1-197-17 ॥
english translation
bhImasenò mahAbAhura nAgAyuta balò mahAna kathaM hi yudhi zakyeta vijetuma amaraira api ॥ 1-197-17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथैव कृतिनौ युद्धे यमौ यम सुताव इव कथं विषहितुं शक्यौ रणे जीवितुम इच्छता ॥ १-१९७-१८ ॥
'Who indeed, desiring to live, can overcome in battle the twins Nagula and Sahadeva, who are skilled in combat and resemble the sons of Yama himself?' ॥ 1-197-18 ॥

tathaiva kRtinau yuddhe yamau yama sutAva iva kathaM viSahituM zakyau raNe jIvituma icchatA ॥ 1-197-18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयस्मिन धृतिर अनुक्रॊशः कषमा सत्यं पराक्रमः नित्यानि पाण्डवश्रेष्ठे स जीयेत कथं रणे ॥ १-१९७-१९ ॥
'How can the eldest of the Pandavas, in whom patience, mercy, forgiveness, truth, and prowess always coexist, be defeated?' ॥ 1-197-19 ॥

yasmina dhRtira anukròzaH kaSamA satyaM parAkramaH nityAni pANDavazreSThe sa jIyeta kathaM raNe ॥ 1-197-19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयेषां पक्षधरॊ रामॊ येषां मन्त्री जनार्दनः किं नु तैर अजितं संख्ये येषां पक्षे च सात्यकिः ॥ १-१९७-२० ॥
'Those who have Rama (Balarama) as their ally, Janardana (Krishna) as their counselor, and Satyaki as their supporter have already triumphed over all in battle.' ॥ 1-197-20 ॥
