लॊकवेद विरुद्धं तवं नाधर्मं धार्मिकः शुचिः कर्तुम अर्हसि कौन्तेय कस्मात ते बुद्धिर ईदृशी ॥ १-१८७-२७ ॥
'Son of Kunti, being pure and well-versed in the rules of morality, you should not engage in an act that is sinful, contrary to tradition, and against the Vedas.' ॥ 1-187-27 ॥
