[दरुपद] भवान वा विधिवत पाणिं गृह्णातु दुहितुर मम यस्य वा मन्यसे वीर तस्य कृष्णाम उपादिश ॥ १-१८७-२१ ॥
'Upon hearing this, Drupada responded, "If it pleases you, take my daughter's hand yourself with proper rituals. Alternatively, you may give Krishna in marriage to whichever of your brothers you prefer."' ॥ 1-187-21 ॥
english translation
[darupada] bhavAna vA vidhivata pANiM gRhNAtu duhitura mama yasya vA manyase vIra tasya kRSNAma upAdiza ॥ 1-187-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[य] सर्वेषां दरौपदी राजन महिषी नॊ भविष्यति एवं हि वयाहृतं पूर्वं मम मात्रा विशां पते ॥ १-१८७-२२ ॥
'Yudhishthira replied, "Thy daughter, O king, shall be the wife of all of us! This has been ordained by our mother, O monarch."' ॥ 1-187-22 ॥

[ya] sarveSAM daraupadI rAjana mahiSI nò bhaviSyati evaM hi vayAhRtaM pUrvaM mama mAtrA vizAM pate ॥ 1-187-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहं चाप्य अनिविष्टॊ वै भीमसेनश च पाण्डवः पार्थेन विजिता चैषा रत्नभूता च ते सुता ॥ १-१८७-२३ ॥
'I am still unmarried, and so is Bhima among the sons of Pandu. This jewel of a daughter has been won by Arjuna.' ॥ 1-187-23 ॥

ahaM cApya aniviSTò vai bhImasenaza ca pANDavaH pArthena vijitA caiSA ratnabhUtA ca te sutA ॥ 1-187-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएष नः समयॊ राजन रत्नस्य सहभॊजनम न च तं हातुम इच्छामः समयं राजसत्तम ॥ १-१८७-२४ ॥
'This, O king, is our custom: to equally share any jewel we obtain. O best of monarchs, we cannot abandon this principle now.' ॥ 1-187-24 ॥

eSa naH samayò rAjana ratnasya sahabhòjanama na ca taM hAtuma icchAmaH samayaM rAjasattama ॥ 1-187-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वेषां धर्मतः कृष्णा महिषी नॊ भविष्यति आनुपूर्व्येण सर्वेषां गृह्णातु जवलने करम ॥ १-१८७-२५ ॥
'Therefore, let Krishna become the wedded wife of us all. Let her take our hands, one after another, before the sacred fire, said Yudhishthira.' ॥ 1-187-25 ॥

sarveSAM dharmataH kRSNA mahiSI nò bhaviSyati AnupUrvyeNa sarveSAM gRhNAtu javalane karama ॥ 1-187-25 ॥
