अजातशत्रुश च कुरुप्रवीरः; पप्रच्छ कृष्णं कुशलं निवेद्य कथं वयं वासुदेव तवयेह; गूढा वसन्तॊ विदिताः सम सर्वे ॥ १-१८३-६ ॥
'Ajatasatru, the foremost of the Kuru lineage, upon seeing Krishna, inquired about his well-being and asked, "O Vasudeva, how were you able to recognize us, living here in disguise?"' ॥ 1-183-6 ॥

तम अब्रवीद वासुदेवः परहस्य; गूढॊ ऽपय अग्निर जञायत एव राजन तं विक्रमं पाण्डवेयानतीत्य; कॊ ऽनयः कर्ता विद्यते मानुषेषु ॥ १-१८३-७ ॥
'Vasudeva replied with a smile, "O king, just as fire, though concealed, reveals itself, so does extraordinary prowess manifest itself. Who else among men but the Pandavas could display such might?"' ॥ 1-183-7 ॥
english translation
दिष्ट्या तस्मात पावकात संप्रमुक्ता; यूयं सर्वे पाण्डवाः शत्रुसाहाः दिष्ट्या पापॊ धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्रः; सहामात्यॊ न सकामॊ ऽभविष्यत ॥ १-१८३-८ ॥
'By the grace of destiny, you all, the valiant Pandavas, have been delivered from that fire ordeal. Duryodhana, the sinful son of Dhritarashtra, along with his counselors, will not succeed in his evil intentions.' ॥ 1-183-8 ॥

भद्रं वॊ ऽसतु निहितं यद गुहायां; विवर्धध्वं जवलन इवेध्यमानः मा वॊ विद्युः पार्थिवाः के चनेह; यास्यावहे शिबिरायैव तावत सॊ ऽनुज्ञातः पाण्डवेनाव्यय शरीः; परायाच छीघ्रं बलदेवेन सार्धम ॥ १-१८३-९ ॥
'"Blessings upon you! May you thrive like a fire steadily growing and spreading, unseen in its intensity. To avoid recognition by any kings, let us return to our tent." Having obtained Yudhishthira's permission, Krishna, whose prosperity knows no bounds, swiftly departed from the potter's abode accompanied by Valadeva.' ॥ 1-183-9 ॥
