विमुक्तौ जनसंबाधाच छत्रुभिः परिविक्षितौ कृष्णयानुगतौ तत्र नृवीरौ तौ विरेजतुः ।। १-१८१-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'Those heroes among men, wounded by the enemy and followed by Krishna, finally emerged from the crowd, looking like the full moon and the sun breaking through the clouds.' ।। 1-181-36 ।।

english translation

vimuktau janasaMbAdhAca chatrubhiH parivikSitau kRSNayAnugatau tatra nRvIrau tau virejatuH || 1-181-36 ||

तेषां माता बहुविधं विनाशं पर्यचिन्तयत अनागच्छत्सु पुत्रेषु भैक्ष काले ऽतिगच्छति ।। १-१८१-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'Meanwhile, Kunti, noticing that her sons were late in returning from their begging rounds, became filled with anxiety.' ।। 1-181-37 ।।

english translation

teSAM mAtA bahuvidhaM vinAzaM paryacintayata anAgacchatsu putreSu bhaikSa kAle 'tigacchati || 1-181-37 ||

धार्तराष्ट्रैर हता न सयुर विज्ञाय कुरुपुंगवाः मायान्वितैर वा रक्षॊभिः सुघॊरैर दृढवैरिभिः ।। १-१८१-३८ ।।

sanskrit

'She began to imagine various calamities that might have befallen them. At one moment, she feared that the sons of Dhritarashtra had recognized and killed her sons. Next, she feared that some cruel and powerful Rakshasas, endowed with deceptive abilities, had slain them.' ।। 1-181-38 ।।

english translation

dhArtarASTraira hatA na sayura vijJAya kurupuMgavAH mAyAnvitaira vA rakSòbhiH sughòraira dRDhavairibhiH || 1-181-38 ||

विपरीतं मतं जातं वयासस्यापि महात्मनः इत्य एवं चिन्तयाम आस सुतस्नेहान्विता पृथा ।। १-१८१-३९ ।।

sanskrit

'And she asked herself, "Could the illustrious Vyasa himself (who had directed my sons to come to Panchala) have been influenced by misguided intentions?"' ।। 1-181-39 ।।

viparItaM mataM jAtaM vayAsasyApi mahAtmanaH itya evaM cintayAma Asa sutasnehAnvitA pRthA || 1-181-39 ||

महत्य अथापराह्णे तु घनैः सूर्य इवावृतः बराह्मणैः परविशत तत्र जिष्णुर बरह्म पुरस्कृतः ।। १-१८१-४० ।।

sanskrit

'Thus, Pritha pondered deeply out of her love for her sons. Then, in the quiet of late afternoon, accompanied by a group of Brahmanas, Arjuna entered the potter's abode, resembling the sun emerging from behind clouds on a cloudy day.' ।। 1-181-40 ।।

mahatya athAparAhNe tu ghanaiH sUrya ivAvRtaH barAhmaNaiH paravizata tatra jiSNura barahma puraskRtaH || 1-181-40 ||
